Okuhala Construction was established in 2017 by Leon and Theo Bodenstein. The father and son duo concentrated solely on the construction of buildings and civil works.
We strive to provide the highest standard in quality and workmanship on all our projects are reflected by the satisfaction of our clients.
We gained experience through the extremely demanding private sector and combined with our knowledge and background, we are capable and fully equipped to complete any project.
Currently, we employ three permanent foremen, each bringing between ten and twenty-five years of experience. Each foreman leads a dedicated team of skilled artisans, bricklayers, carpenters, and charge hands.
When necessary, we collaborate with selected subcontractors who are qualified to meet our high standards of quality.

Theo Bodenstein
Theo Bodenstein is the Director of Okuhala Construction (Pty) Ltd, where he oversees the planning, execution, and successful completion of all construction projects. With over 7 years of experience in the construction industry, Theo has a proven track record of delivering high-quality infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
Theo began his career as a project manager and working as a sub-contractor for other construction business, quickly rising through the ranks due to his exceptional project management skills and keen eye for detail. He has managed a diverse range of projects, from residential developments to large-scale commercial buildings and infrastructure projects.
Theo leads a team of skilled professionals, coordinating efforts between architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that every project meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

Ruan Van Zyl
Recently, Ruan van Zyl, who holds a National Diploma in Building Science, joined the company. The company collaborates with three permanent foremen as needed, each with 10 to 25 years of experience. Each foreman leads a dedicated team of skilled artisans, bricklayers, carpenters, and charge hands.
Ruan van Zyl has 11 years of passion-driven experience in the construction industry, having worked in all areas, starting as a site supervisor and advancing to project management, with expertise in issuing construction programs, tendering on projects, and pricing Bills of Quantities. He is driven to find cost-reducing solutions while maintaining quality construction as the number one priority in decision-making.
